A Walk into… Chapter 11- ?

Part 11 Grace & Gabriel

It had been a few hours since Grace heard the news of Jaden having sex with William. She’d been pacing back and forth in her room trying to figure out what she should do. Grace really had never been one to loose her temper so quickly but this was the first time she’d ever really cared about someone as much as she had now. Gabriel came home looking for her, one of their friends had seen Grace leaving the garment store upset and thought that they should find Gabriel to let him know how upset she was.Gabriel came knocking on Grace’s bedroom door, “Grace, what’s going on? Sara Parkman came around the shop and told me you left Henderson’s store upset and crying. What’s going on? Are you ok?”

“Gabriel, are you really concerned because I have needed you here for me? I’ve needed your advice and to listen to me for months now. It seems all you care about is Jessie!” Grace was going a bit over board with the way she was treating Gabriel, but it was mostly due to being upset with Jaden.

“Look Grace, I know I haven’t been there a lot for you lately but I was waiting for the right time and now I guess I should confess. Jessie and I have been seeing each other now for quite awhile. I guess I didn’t want to tell you ‘cause I know how much you wanted to be with Jaden and, well, since she’s married William, well, Jessie and I pretty much gave up hope that the two of you would even get together. I’m sorry that I didn’t tell you.” Gabriel seemed genuinely sincere about his apology to Grace.

“I accept your apology. But Gabriel, there is something I really need to tell you. Jaden is in love with me or at least I thought she was. Today I found out that she slept with William last night. I am fit to be tied! I want to confront her but I just can’t imagine this to be true. But her servants were talking about it and how now William would get to start a family. Gabriel…” Grace ran to her bother throwing her arms around him and started to cry uncontrollably.

“Grace, let me get Jessie. We’ll go talk to Jaden. You’re too upset. We’ll get to the bottom of this.” Gabriel held his sister tightly and then added, “I won’t let anyone hurt my big sister.”

Meanwhile, Jaden was across town trying to get away from William. He’d decided at the last minute if they were going to have a party, that maybe this would be a great way to meet more of the town’s people. Not knowing who to turn to, she told William she’d wanted to get some things at the General Store. While she went to that, he’d decided the barbershop would be the place to see just whom he could invite to the party.

Instead of going to the General Store, Jaden ran right back to where the trouble started: the saloon. Jaden found the whore that William had slept with sitting in the parlor waiting for her next client. “Natasha, I need your help. I am willing to give you $10 if you would please do me a favor. I need to you please take this letter to my friend Grace. She lives at the other end of town. I can get you a ride there but you’ll have to walk back. Can you do this for me?” Jaden hoped she would, for this was her only chance William wouldn’t keep her out of his sight for too long.

“I can do this for you, but I will only do it for $20.” The whore knew she could negotiate seeing how desperate Jaden looked.

“Ok, but you must go now my carriage is right out front. I’ll tell the driver that you’re one of my friend Grace’s servants and you tripped and hurt your ankle. Just pretend to hobble to the carriage. My husband won’t know any different and this way I know that you at least took my letter to Grace.”

Everything went smoothly, Natasha got the letter to Grace. But Jaden didn’t really explain herself to clearly in the letter. In fact, nothing was actually said about the sex at all. It just told her to get to her as quickly as she could and that it was a matter of great importance. So, Grace gave Natasha a ride back to town and on the way there Natasha freely divulged the information about how Jaden bought her for her husband and wondered if Grace was married and if she needed someone to satisfy her husband. Everything started to make sense. Now, though, she’d have to get to Gabriel to stop him from messing things up even more. If she’d only waited just a little longer, if she’d been patient enough to wait to confront Jaden on her own.

Come back next week to see how things go once they both realize that love is still in their future. This is Stacey with your story of Grace and Gabriel.
